The annual festival for the celebration of electronic music is about to hit the parks, streets and venues of Copenhagen.

Allthough STRØM is only hosting its fourth edition this year it has evolved each year presenting the city as a dynamic capital when it comes to broadcasting a strong selection within the electronic music scene. Check out the homepage for more info and a full line up.

Here is a brief overview of some of the free or cheap pleasures during the festival:

14 August: Sounds from the Meat Packing District
@Jolene, Flæsketorvet 85 // 17:00-03:00

Go visit Jolene Bar and listen to nice tunes from Ed Davenport (UK/GER) and Danish artists like Waqar, Zzzune, Candy Crack, Christian Alexander, Emil Boserup, Philip Flindt and Kristian.

16 August: Trans Metro Express
@Copenhagen Metro, departure from Vestamager Station // 19:00-21:00

As part of STRØM you can hop on the metro train and experience an audio journey through the city literally speaking.
Enjoy soundscapes from Rumpistol, Eloq, JSL and Maffi. And remember it’s free – all you need is a valid metro ticket.

21 August: REWIND & STRØM Final Party
@TAP-E (the old Carlsberg), Pasteursvej 20, Copenhagen V // 23:00 until late // 80 Dkk

Expect nothing less than a bang of a party when N-Type is dropping by the old Carlsberg. As one of the leading dubstep selectors one might expect him carrying around some serious goodies in his bag containing the latest dubplates. Among others the line up will also include F-One and JJ Louis.

You can follow the walking soundsystem from the concerts in Enghaveparken directly to TAP-E. Otherwise just follow the torches…or the electric flow.

    I’m definitely more into the whole dubstep sound at the time more than everything else.
