Copenhagen invites you to get winter jazzy for the next two weeks!

The annual Copenhagen Winter Jazz festival has kick-off today and runs for two full weeks, with big and small jazz concerts all over Denmark.

One of the ideas behind the Winter Jazz festival is to put focus on all the dedicated jazz places all over Denmark, and to encourage different music venues to be more jazzy..

Most of the concerts are being held at small music venues and have free entries.

So get out there – support your local music café or bar and get jazzier! It will definitely keep you warm in the winter cold!

Rumkammerat invites to the openning of  “Do it yourself (DIY) – Punk culture’s best gift” presenting works of Spanish artists: Joan Tarrago and Margue Lopez ( known from their designs for Quicksilver). The aim is to show that elements of street art and graffiti can be transformed into a ‘wearable’ way creating a unique piece with an edge.

Participants will be also invited to meet the artists and take part in creating art themselves. The outcome will be turned into a fanzine.

The exhibition starts on the 12 of March and runs until 22 of April.

@ Pixel, HC Ørstedsvej 66, 1879 Frederiksberg
15:00-17:00 // Free

This afternoon at Pixel, three artists will show you video works followed by a debate about the potentials of contemporary art.

The three artists, Jérome Fino, Brad Downey and The Wa, each works within very different genres of sculpture, film and graphics. But still, action plays a defining role in their work, whether it takes place in public or private space, or whether carefully planned or improvised.
