When I read about this new bar/restaurant I knew I just had to spread the word. Welcome to Grødbar – the worlds first porridge bar.
Behind the set up is two young guys, inspired partly by Londonish fast food and neo Scandinavian cuisine.
In the bar you will find new interpreted porridges such as oatmeal porridge boiled in ginger/carrot juice. On saturday you will have the opportunity to taste some and listen to soothing live jazz.
I think it sounds really interesting, cosy and a good way to welcome fall.

Michelin-starchef Mads Refslund will be in charge of the feast. The price is 120 DKK pr. person for a picnic basket with all sorts of healthy yummies. Straight from the grill you can taste lamb with red peppers and chicken with lemon and parsley.

Go get your Wednesday-evening-cup-of-coffee at Kaffe and take a step back in time. This evening Kaffe provides you with the opportunity of recalling what’s so great about fiddling with plastic beads
(and this time it’s without the screaming kids and the smell of lunch boxes).
Kaffe will make sure that there is loads of wonderful, multicolored beads and all the other equipment needed.
All you have to do is stop by and rest your mind at the soothing game of putting beads together.

The biggest outdoor rave of the year is coming up and I want you to join in and feel the bass drill it’s way across your body with us.

The music will be a mix of dubstep, dancehall, reggae and grime just to mention some of the genres represented and last year more than 1200 crazy ravers participated.
RubA’Dub Crew (feat. Malachy & Mission), Firehouse, Wobble Squad, Kidd, Kesi & B.O.C, Eloq, Unity Hi-Fi and Beastie Respond are just some of the many cool DJ’s on the line-up.
To see the entire line-up check out: www.ohoi.dk
It takes place under the bridge called Bispeengbuen, a 6-tracks high way on the border between Frederiksberg and Nørrebro. It’s for free and I bet you will have a great time no matter if you wear neon glasses or not.

This thursday Copenhagen Photo Festival will be kick started by the opening of the exhibition:
5 x personal projects.
I have taken a small peep and I most say I am truly impressed by the work and the diversity of the subjetcs represented:
Maria Fonfara shows scenes, which most people probably don’t see very often about love, sex and intimacy in the third age, about loosing your partner and accepting the decay of the body.
Christian Holst takes you to Burma, one of the poorest countries in the world, where people are strongly oppressed by social inequality and disrespected human rights.
Thomas Lekfeldt tells the story of three poor, danish families and the missing resources in their daily life, which most people probably take for granded.
Mads Nissen puts a focus on Denmark’s fallen soldiers and shows photos kindly provided by families who have lost someone in the war against terror in Afghanistan.
Last but definitely not least Jonathan Bjerg Møller emphasizes the forgotten food crisis in Niger, where more than 10 million people were starving and in great need of help, but never came even close to the media’s attention because of the simultaneously happening earthquake in Haiti and floods in Pakistan.
To see more, check out: www.copenhagenphotofestival.com
The exhibition will run from 9th-19th of June.
