The buzz leaves from Nyhavn 2 and will take you to Ishøj, where you will meet lots of punk attitude in the exhibition at Arken about the 80ies. Also author Jan Poulsen will serve you stories while showing you around in Alice Neels multicolored painting in Moderna Museet in Malmö.

There will be plenty of different of tours to choose from – the first one is on 6 October.

The Buzz around tours is part of Music & Art Around, which is a festival for music and contemporary art on both sides of Øresund.

fatter og fabrikkenA new gallery on Vesterbro sees it daylight. On this Saturday you can stop by the opening reception and have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. From 17:00 the ZOOKID will be turning some vinyls.

The gallery is run by the three artists Maria, Meise and Jan. They will be hosting various exhibitions and other creative events where they wish for people to participate.

On the opening you can see some of the works of the three artists: jewelry, paintings and other works.

Kopenhagen Contemporary Opening GaloreThis is the opening of Kopenhagen Comptemporary, which is a four day celebration of the vibrant art scene in Copenhagen in collaboration with the city’s 50 leading galleries.

This event will be the grand opening of 7 different openings on Vesterbro. There will be performances, DJs, visuals, drinks, beers, sausages and thai food. What more can one want.

Kopenhagen Contemporary will take place from 2-5 September in galleries and venues all over Copenhagen.

Galore art event ValbyGo check out a good selection of Denmark’s unestablished and uncensored young contemporary artists at Galore. The days will be filled with both painting, installation, street art, drawings, experimental music and film screenings.

Activities will take place both inside, outside, up, down and in every possible corner. At Toftegårds Plads you can also participate in workshops: Thursday and Friday, you can redesign your furniture and Saturday, come pimp your bike.

This is the third time Galore takes place and this year about 100 artists are participating. Experience for instance the graffiti and street art collective called The Nom Nom Collective, which among others include the Danish street artists Lints.

Galore is organized by Kraftwerket – a platform run by Copenhagen Municipality for young people to play with art, culture and democracy.

As many of you might have heard the Little Mermaid is away on a business kind of vacation in Shanghai, further understood she’s hanging out in the Danish Pavilion during the EXPO2010.

But fear not – The Little Mermaid Temp Agency invites you to help fill out the void while she’s away so this is your chance to live out the mermaid/merman dream for exactly 15 minutes (from a better view).

And the instructions are simple because there are no! So how you wish to spend your precious temp period on the ‘temp rock’ is completely up to you.

Afterwards you can definitely show off as all temporary mermaids will be honored with their very own certificate including a portrait issued by the Little Mermaid Temp Agency – not bad!

So sit tight and enjoy sweetness from Danish artists like Vinnie Who, Fallulah and Chimes & Bells, Prinzhorn Danceschool from UK or German djs like DJ Hell and Krause Duo among others.

16 July: Urban Activity Agency – opening

This is the opening night for one month of urban summer activites around Copenhagen. Come for some nice beats, cheap beers and check out all the activities the agency has for you this summer. And just bring your friends.

Rumkammerat, who are also the ones organizing Urban Treasure Hunt, will during summer be transformed into an urban activity agency to offer you a variety of alternative activities designed for the urban environment.

For instance you can go play the urban image bingo, be a local for one day, hunt for photo works – in total there are 11 alternative urban activities to choose from arranged by different artists.

The agency will be running until 14 August. Some of the activities will take place at certain times and places, and others you will be able to do whenever it suits you – and they are free of charge.

This is a chance to see the works of upcoming Danish artists and possibly buy them in the form of posters.  Initiative of the creative group Art Rebels is simple: by creating the series of ‘meetings’ like Paper Cuts they hope to encourage people to get interested in art at the same time being able to buy the pieces for a not too expensive price (300 dkk).

The artists presenting and selling their works will be:

Stine Bjerregaard, Marta Johansen and Cicely Forest.

Paper Cuts posters can be purchased from This Issue and ArtRebels catalog www.artrebels.com. After the vernissage everyone will be encouraged to move to Ritz for the after party with Danny Boy.

If you are into digital art and music and the use of new media, then visit Re-New to see what potentials and limitations there are in the interaction between man and machine. It is entertaining, fun and weird – just as we like it!

This geeky experimentarium is a niche of art operating in the field between play, art and research. You can meet artists, programmers and djs which have all contributed to the festival.

Live-acts includes names such as Mikkel Meyer and the duo Manzolli and Traldi, who will perform a concert from sensory movements with their hands.
