Each of the nine performances accomodate 800 guests, including 124 free-cushion seats and 676 chair seats. So if you want to be sure of an entrance garantee you can book a chair seat for 38 Dkk. + fee at billetnet.dk.

12 June: The last party – Ritz

Posted 10 June 2010 by Mai Ji

@ Viktoriagade 22 (corner to Istedgade), Copenhagen V
22:00-05:30 // Free entrance

Usually we frequently write about openings or launch parties but seldom we mention events within the closing area.

After a short but powerful life the nightclub Ritz is closing. In a very short time Ritz succeeded in creating a place where partying and music was given a higher priority than stylish cocktail glasses or cool interior.

But now Ritz has entered its last phase so this is your last chance to do a ’shoulder by shoulder two step’ on the dance floor, enjoy the cheap Mojitos in plastic cups or kiss in the back of the smoking room.

At this last party you can surely expect an inferno of dancing and partying with blood, sweat and tears dripping down the walls.

13 January – 6 February: MenneskeRobot

Posted 20 January 2010 by Mai Ji

@ Dansescenen, Pasteursvej 20, Copenhagen V.
20:00 – 21:15 // 75-180 Dkk

Normally we would not cover an ongoing event like this, but we think this dance performance is just too awsome to be missed out on. It just has that cool urban feel about it.

Dansescenen, now located at the old Carlsberg Brewery, starts off the new year with a fantastic dance performance called ‘MenneskeRobot’, which translates into human robot.

The choreographer Steen Koerner has managed to assemble some of the world’s best dancers inside the electric boogie genres. Furthermore he has experimented with producing a real robot that tries to imitate human movement patterns.

Saul Williams has written the poetry and Lucy Love will be slamming her heart out on top of a beat – all in all making it difficult for you not to tap your feet. So go and meet one real robot and nine human robots and expect an allround experience that makes you wonder.

The performance runs from 13 January until 6 February. The prize level depends on when you choose to go – mondays are ‘cheap-days’ at Dansescenen.

Get your ticket at billetnet.
