20 November: Copenhagen Street Festival

This Saturday you can experience Cph Street Festival which highlights some of the activities the streets of Copenhagen has to offer to its children and youth.

It all takes place in Øksnehallen where you can move around between six different zones.

The festival is organized by the association Copenhagen Cruise who has established a collaboration between some of the different underground organizations to make it easier and more aproachable to expose the various offers.

On the day in the BMX & Skate Zone you can experience show and workshop with Alis Wonder Family. And in the Dance Zone there will be 3 vs 3 break battles. The Continuation School and Fair Play Basketball settles 3 vs 3 tournaments as well as workshop and the Street Art Zone presents a freestyle graffiti battle.

During the day you can hear music from DJs Cars10 (UK), Renegade (SE) and Andy (GB).

5 October: Exit Through the Gift Shop

exit through the gift shopIf you are into Banksy, then head out for The Candy Factory, who this night will show the first film by the renowned graffiti and street artist. The film was very hot during this years, where it made its debut.

Exit Through the Gift Shop tells the true story of how an eccentric French shop keeper turned documentary maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner with spectacular results. The film contains exclusive footage of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader and many of the worlds most infamous graffiti artists at work.

7 May: Ghost Ris Exhibition Opening

Ghost was born in the Bronx New York City in the mid 60s. He’s characteristic throw up “GH” can be found around the NYC subway and exhibition in “We are related” will reveal another side of this infamous artist with his paintings and drawings.

It is his first exhibition in Denmark, it could be groundbreaking. Come and see for yourself – at the day of opening you will be able to buy his original art works as well as silkscreen prints.

The evening will be accompanied by psychedelic 70s music.

10 september: Graffiti Seminar

Are you interested in graffiti – or do you have an opinion. Then go for a seminar that will deal with the potentials of graffiti. The seminar will look at graffiti as a cultural phenomenon and as part of contemporary visual culture.

The seminar consists of three presentations followed by a discussion.
