18:00 – 20:00 // no entrance fee

Urban Outfitters fashion reception is one of the more easy access ones.

Their PR event offers live music delivered by Kasper Bjørke, goodie bags to the first arrivers, plenty of free Carlsberg beers, energizing drinks and of course a sneak peak of a fashion collection – this time by Carin Wester (not a bad choice, I might add)

I took this picture at their event last summer – a lot of people are waiting to get a goodiebag, so if you want one, prepare to stand in line.

16:00 – 19:00 // no entrance fee

As you may know,  this week has been declared fashion week in Copenhagen.

This of course means a lot of “hard to reach” parties and closed doors – but it also means small receptions and free drinks.

Rezet Store is a fairly new (and my personal favorite) sneaker store in Copenhagen. It’s a bit secluded from the busy Strøget and has a welcoming atmosphere.

The small shop is host when the ‘street’ brand Moustage is launching their new collection – their first collection was completely sold out, so I guess if you are into street fashion, this would not be a bad place to get some shopping inspiration.

Also there will be vodka/Burn for the thirsty and of course a dj will be spreading the good vibes.

21 October: Streetmekka, 1 year B-day

Streetmekka, Enghavevej 82 D Show map

12:00 – 21:00 // no entrance fee
One year ago Copenhagen got this super cool street facilities’ area called StreetMekka. Streetmekka is an initiative to improve the circumstances for street culture in Denmark by offering dance-, parkour-, soccer-, DJ- and basket ball classes INDOOR.
It is kept loyal to the street by looking sort of rough inside with the graffiti decorated concrete walls and asphalted basket ball lots. No wonder Streetmekka has become real popular during the year and friday it is time to celebrate this!

On B-day ALL CLASSES ARE FREE and no matter if you would like to join in or just watch, I think there are some really cool things going on:

Dance battles, drawing workshops, DJ school, street soccer, concerts, double-dutch and live media coverage by DR.

See the entire program

No doubt it will be great and of course there is an after party to attend to as well. After party at Rust See you there!

2 June: Distortion – thursday mini guide

Posted 31 May 2011 by Leh
Skt. Hans Torv, Guldbergsgade, Blågårdsgade and the surrounding streets; Nørrebro. Show map
free

14:00 – late // free

It is Distortion thursday and I’m still going strong – this time at Nørrebro. Apart from all the sweet street parties all around Nørrebro, I especially think the followings are worth checking out:

Red Cross Youth is hosting a Distortion charity event. The beers are cheep and the sausages red. AND it takes place at Nørrebro park – bring your blanket and take a nap if you haven’t had much sleep from the day before.

Pukemaster is hosting a rather interesting event, where you are a piece in a big scale board game called “sex in the grass”. Apart from being a playing party piece - drinks are nice and cheep – and if you get tired of beers and booze, they even serve wine (!).

1 June: Distortion – wednesday mini guide

Pilestræde in inner Copenhagen and the surrounding area. Show map
free

14:00 – late // free

The followings are (some of) the parties I’m going to check out when Distortion trashes inner city:

200 free sandwiches and chillout at Zefside – down by the channels. A slow starter.

Free shots and a sailor rave theme at Rezet Store. These guys really know how to party and how to make you aware of the theme of the party (I personally know for a fact) .

You. Simply. Must. Go. Here. PromilleService blows your rave heart out – trust me. I’ve experienced them live several times at Roskilde Festival. Promise to stop by!
