Festen – in Danish: The Party – is, as the title implies, the party to go to Saturday.

Festen is hosted by the creative society Knap&Nap, who has gotten their hands on one of the coolest locations in Copenhagen and wants to invite you to one big housewarming.

Music begins at 19 PM – get there fast and get a present. The bar is cheep – only 10 Dkk, but remember cash, it’s in the far end of Islands Brygge = no cash machines.

Spring has made a few appearences lately, which have made people mumble in the corners about the next Distortion.

If you can’t wait until June, the party creater Klashy invites you to a delish party at Raahuset. The competitors in the Bedroom Superstar Dj competition will set the standart from 21:00 – 23:00 where they are going to compete about being the Dj who fires up the party on the tank (yes it’s a real tank) at the next Distortion. And you’ll experience a preview to what rave music will dominate 2011.

Did you miss out on all the Fastelavn parties in february? Don’t worry, grab your mask and be welcomed by the traveling theatre troop La Familia Mascarada for a night with spectacular performances, interactive theatre and disco fever.

Come masked and collect a free drink at the door – masks are available on the night if you forget yours. Bolsjefabrikken recomments you to be there from the very beginning for the full experience.

Later in the evening you are lured with INTENCE DISCO FEVER DJs – Don’t know what that is, but I’m curious to find out.

Under the name FUNKEL the Danish Refugee Youth Network (DFUNK) invites you to the first celebration in a series of events.

With the goal to draw attention to DFUNK’s existence and projects and of course networking among volunteers the first FUNKEL party gives you the opportunity to dance the night away until your feet tell you to stop.

This night the entrance is free between 21-22 if you’ve worked as a volunteer for the Danish Refugee Council’s national collection on Sunday Nov 14. Just remember to bring your diploma.

To spread the ideology that weapons are not compatible with a night out you are invited to an anti-weapon celebration this Friday under the slogan: No to knives – yes to party!

Here the positive sides of nightlife will be celebrated with a party consisting of music, dance, happy vibes and a nice party atmosphere.

So if you want to support this case it’s very simple: Show up and party until you drop.

All profits from the event goes to the fund ‘No to knives in Nightlife’.

youtube battleThe documentary festival CPH:DOX is repeating last year’s success of the YouTube battle – and this time, it’s gonna be awesome

Eight teams will be battling for the audience’s attention. Among these are the two finalists from last year as well as a CPH:DOX all-star team. The teams will be battling two and two, showing a selection of entertaining, disgusting, fun, surprising, spectacular or kick-ass YouTube clips. Based on the reaction of the audience, the winning team will continue on until the winner is found.

It will be a true battle of courage visual knowledge. The evening will be hosted by Danish director Michael Noer.

distortionContinue on from the Culture Night to a party with a true Distortion feel. The evening will start out slowly on the Carlsberg grounds with some open air 3D projections and performances earlier. This part has a free entrance

After 23 the music is fired up on several dancefloors.

The Distortion Raverbus will be there to spread the Distortion hygge. In the circus tent in the back alley, there will be rock, cumbia and dancehall, the Ritz party in the cinema will take of minimal and deep house. And finally Klashy and Copyflex can be found in the barn chilling out to some baile funk and rave.

Sounds like a party.

This Saturday you can experience a party where people will celebrate the crooked and weird part of themselves.

Also it’s an ideal opportunity to experience the collective construction project the Floating City, which revolves around sustainable climate solutions, innovative architecture and culture.
