28 May: ‘Generation Kan Selv’ – book release

Posted 24 May 2010 by Mai Ji

@ Jolene bar, Meatpacking District, Copenhagen V
19:00-22:00 // Free entrance

In celebration of the publication of the book ‘Generation Kan Selv’ you are invited to the release party at Jolene Bar. The book is an anthology about a generation – by a generation.

A group of selected young people from different parts of the Danish political and creative layer has been tasked to relate to their own generation through text and picture: Who are we, how are we and why do we do it?

Through personal and honest essays they each relate to being a part of something that is not yet defined – something as abstract as a generation.

So drop by and meet some of the contributors, enjoy a glass of wine og listen to nice tunes by Cecilie Brandel. At the event you will have the chance to buy the book with a 25% discount – so bring cash.

19 May: Fictional Wednesday #4

Posted 17 May 2010 by Mai Ji

@ Gefährlich, Fælledvej 7, Copenhagen N
19:00-22:00 // Free entrance, dinner menu 75 Dkk

Usually we don’t write about an event like this, because it’s a reading held in Danish. But it just sounds so cozy, so think of it as a little treat for the Danish-speaking folks out there, or maybe a good chance to brush up your Danish skills.

The concept is simple and pleasant at the same time. You enjoy a rustic dinner in a really candlelight dinner way while pampering your ears with poetry from some of the most inspiring writers in DK.

Each time with a new dinner menu put together for the occasion. And each time with new storytellers to make your dinner just a little more cozy.
Storyteller line-up:
Asger Schnack
Claus Høxbroe
Gerd Laugesen
Theis Ørntoft

If you want to be sure to get a table, you can find booking info through the link below.
