Late Night Hunting is a concept where all street stores and small cafes are open. This means that all the fun begins when the street usually tend to shut down.

Among others you can enjoy a BBQ from Manfred’s – grilled Cumberland sausages from Svendsen the Butcher, cheap espresso from The Coffee Collective, sofa concert with Mademoistella or participate in the Arcade games competition on authentic grill machines from the 90s.

Or you can of course also just enjoy the various exhibitions, hang out and relax. Oh yes – vinyl shop Æter has invited dj Cavio.

The Streethearts are celebrating their first anniversary and in collaboration with Sidewalk Skateshop the girls and Lækker Lytter will put together a street-art-street-party at Enghave warm enough to make you feel any vibration going on at street level.

Streetheart is known for celebrating its love for street art and the generous rebels that fills the streets with surprises and tiny treasures for all of us.

So join in to celebrate your love at street level. Maybe this is your chance to rule the skate competition, go treasure hunting, play ping pong or just drop your heart out the street kind of way.

7 May: Ghost Ris Exhibition Opening

Ghost was born in the Bronx New York City in the mid 60s. He’s characteristic throw up “GH” can be found around the NYC subway and exhibition in “We are related” will reveal another side of this infamous artist with his paintings and drawings.

It is his first exhibition in Denmark, it could be groundbreaking. Come and see for yourself – at the day of opening you will be able to buy his original art works as well as silkscreen prints.

The evening will be accompanied by psychedelic 70s music.

2 April: Basco5 Exhibition Opening

The artist Basco5 aka Nils Blishen presents his work at the exhibition space Helvetikat. It is his first solo show in Denmark and is a celebration of his journey.

In his late 20′s, he worked hard to create a name for himself. Basco5 started his art career in Vancouver and is now based in Copenhagen where his art is often found in urban space. His work may at first glance come across as cute, but upon further inspection, you can also see meanings reflecting pain, tattoos, violence, hope and many other themes.

The exhibition runs until 4 May 2010.
Open Tuesday 17-20, Saturday 12-15 – or try knocking on the door.

12 March: Know Hope

Yet another exhibition is taking place in the tunnel below Dr Louise’s Bridge.

During the coming week, the tunnel has been transformed into a public workshop and exhibition space for Israeli street art.

Every day, the artist called Know Hope will be working in the tunnel and put up his site-specific pieces along the lakes.

On the 12 March, you are invited to see the works and to hear Know Hope present the production. Also Undervejs will introduce you to some of the other projects going on in the tunnel.

Everything will be spiced up with a bit of wine and snacks by SJ (Soup Jockey) Christian Hovesen. Dj ObernKarbi will take care of exotica and decadence.

11 March: Skateistan CPH10

This is one of those events we just can’t help loving. The Skateistan fundraiser is back with a great party introducing you to a cultural inferno of cooking, photographic and pictorial arts, music and ofcourse lots of street skaters will drop by to show their skills.

Skateistan is a volunteer-driven NGO, whose main thrust is to create a positive content in Afghan children’s lives by building professional skateparks around Afghanistan. On the day of the fundraiser Cph Skatepark hosts a big skate competition and some of Scandinavia’s best skaters will be participating in the open jam between 20:00 and 21:00.

Also you can expect a unique exhibition of hand painted skateboards from both Danish and international artists and a special photo exhibition showing you Skateistan’s newly established school in Afghanistan. Throughout the day and night cool music will keep you warm at heart.

5 February: Armsrock’s ‘Zettelkasten’ Opening

The small space called ‘We Are Related’ is hosting their very first exhibition. We are very glad to see the much-talented Danish artist Armsrock on the poster.

The young Copenhagener works under the Armsrock moniker to make small interventions in urban space with his life-sized drawings of humans at the edges of society. Many of his works can be seen in the streets of central Nørrebro as well as around the world.

The exhibition “Zettelkasten” is an installation constructed around the idea of an archive of drawings, built on observations of people in the local environment around Sankt Hans Gade where Armsrock was born and raised.

The exhibition will run until 14 March.
Open Friday-Saturday 12-18, Sunday 12-16.

21 November: Ta Rummet Festival

tarummetThere are plenty of activities to do, when the festival for girls and women invites you to come for workshops, concerts, bollywood dancing, couching and much more.

The kids can watch films or do facial paintings, while you do yoga, learn how to perform, dance or listen to concerts.

The festival, which translates into ‘take the space’, is about breaking boundaries and giving a free and creative space for girls and women that will bring a positive integration. The initiative is built on volunteer forces.
